The city of Lyon hosted the Working Group Food for the second semester meeting of 2018. The meeting was scheduled as a thematic workshop about urban agriculture and rural-urban linkages, with a specific focus on the most interesting issues for city officers dealing with urban food systems.

During the 3-days workshop the agenda was arranged to give space to the knowledge sharing among officers, with the updates from their local actions, training sessions and study visits. The meeting presented the occasion to hold a discussion around the drivers of Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) for cities and peri urban projects.

Cities also discussed about future activities of the Working Group for the next year: operational (possible meetings, next priorities, future projects) and thematic (financing food strategy, ensure political commitment, logistics of food, procurement, right to food).
