The MUFPP Global Fora are international events, organized primarily by cities for cities, offering a unique opportunity to exchange knowledge, build partnerships and celebrate their progress in the implementation of their food policies through the Milan Pact Awards. Dialogue and technical exchange among signatories are enriched by the participation of relevant international organizations and institutions. Over the years, the MUFPP Global Fora have become a regular occurrence for cities and key actors in the global urban food agenda.

Rio De Janeiro
The city of Rio de Janeiro hosted the 8th MUFPP Global Forum on 17-19 October with the theme "Food to Feed the Climate Justice: urban food solutions for a fairer world".
The City of Barcelona has been selected by the MUFPP Steering Committee to host the 7th MUFPP Global Forum that will take place from 19 to 21 October 2021. The theme of the event will be "Growing Resilience: Sustainable Food to Tackle the Climate Emergency".
Over the last few years, the Milan Pact, which aims at building sustainable and inclusive food system, has already received the support of over 200 cities around the world, laying the foundations for innovative approaches. Therefore, it is an important milestone that needs to be celebrated.
The 5th Annual Gathering of the signatory cities of the MUFPP was held in Montpellier, France, from 7-9 October 2019.
Tel Aviv - Yafo
The fourth Annual Gathering and Mayors’ summit of the Milan Urban Food Policy Pact took place on 3-5 September 2018 in Tel Aviv-Yafo at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art.
400 mayors, experts and city delegates from the Milan Urban Food Policy Pact gathered in Valencia from 19 – 21 October 2017 to discuss sustainable food systems in the framework of the 3rd Annual Gathering of the Milan Urban Food Policy Pact.
Rome | FAO Headquarters
The 2nd Annual Gathering and Mayors’ Summit of the Milan Urban Food Policy Pact took place on 13-14 October 2016 at FAO Headquarters in Rome.
On 15 October 2015 more than 100 cities from all over the world, convened to Milan to sign the Milan Urban Food Policy Pact, the first international protocol through which Mayors commit to develop sustainable food systems.
