The First Regional Forum of Latin American Signatory Cities of the MUFPP will be hosted by Rio de Janeiro City Hall on 29-31 May 2019, thus promoting the regionalization process of the MUFPP.
The forum aims to promote the dialogue between Latin American municipalities to improve food governance in the region. Therefore, it will address the environmental, economic, and social challenges of Latin American food systems by focusing on three territorial themes: inequality, identity and sustainablity.
The participants will work together to develop a more inclusive food policy agenda in the region that brings innovative solutions recognizing the importance of local governments as key players in the development of sustainable food systems.
We invite all Latin American cities to participate.

El Primer Foro Regional de las Ciudades Signatarias del Pacto de Milán será organizado por el ayuntamiento de Río de Janeiro del 29 al 31 de mayo del 2019, el cual fomentará el proceso de regionalización del MUFPP.
El foro busca promover el diálogo entre las ciudades latinoamericanas para mejorar el sistema de gobernaza regional. De esta manera, se abordarán los desafíos económicos, ambientales y sociales de los sistemas alimentarios latinoamericanos concentrándose en tres temáticas: desigualdad, identidad y sostenibilidad.
Los participantes trabajarán en conjunto para desarrollar una agenda inclusiva de política alimentaria regional que presente soluciones innovadoras reconociendo asimismo la importancia de los gobiernos locales como actores claves en el desarrollo de sistemas alimentarios sostenibles.
