The MUFPP Regions Action Plan has the aim of providing an overview of the regional processes that the Secretariat and the Steering Committee members have been carrying out in preparation and during the 7th MUFPP Global Forum hosted in Barcelona in 2021.
Based on the assumption that cities face similar challenges and seek appropriate solutions for their specific geographical and socio-economic contexts, the Pact has created dedicated spaces to promote the regionalisation process.

The Pact counts today 217 signatory cities, with 19 new additions only in 2021, representing a total of 400 million people distributed over the 6 MUFPP regions.
During the Global Forum 6 parallel regionalization strategy sessions were organized,where the Steering Committee members of the designated regions, presented to their cities a draft of their leadership plan to discuss the goals, the challenges and the joint activities for the two years ahead. The commitment and the findings of each region were shared during the plenary “ State of the Pact and regionalisation strategies”.
