The City of Milan and Eurocities in collaboration with the academic expert Roberta Sonnino (Cardiff University) won a EU funded project on ” Innovation for a sustainable and health production, delivery and consumption of food in cities”.
The study will start on January 2017 and during 8 months it will concentrate on
- mapping the food strategies that promote innovation in production, delivery and consumption of food
- collect five case studies from cities that have introduced innovative practices in local food systems taking advantage of EU project
The results of the study will provide an in depth knowledge of what cities are doing to make their food systems more sustainable and will be used to influence the activities of Eurocities working group on food towards the European Union.
