29 Aug The Dakar forum, fostering collaboration among African signatory cities

From the 20th to 22nd September 2016 in Dakar will take place  The Dakar Forum. The event  is organised to encourage the development of a sub-regional network of the MUFPP African signatory cities.
The event has three main objectives:

  1.  Fostering the knowledge of the MUFPP in the city of Dakar and endorsing the integration of the proposed actions in local policies “providing a favourable background for an effective action”;
  2. Helping sub-Saharan signatory cities to implement concrete practices to reach their objectives in the short term, even by favouring skills exchange;
  3. Defining proper standards for the sub-Saharan context and identifying tools for the sustainability of the MUFPP related initiatives (economic, social, and environmental).

The Forum will be coordinated by the city of Dakar (Senegal) and the signatory cities involved will be Abidjan (Ivory Coast), Brazzaville (Republic of Congo), Douala (Cameroon), N’Djamena (Chad), Niamey (Niger) and Nouackchott (Mauritania).
